“If you loved someone, what wouldn’t you do for them? If your house caught fire, would you sit on the sidewalk and wait for the firemen to arrive, knowing your other half was still trapped inside? Or would you go back in and die with them, die trying to save them?”
His answer is automatic, a reverent promise said while his gaze locked with mine stays steady. “If I loved someone you’d find us with out fingers melted together, because I’d be right beside her, holding her hand, to the very end.”
― S.E. Hall, Unstable

This book made me feel everything. Jealousy, happiness, heartbreak, anger, amusement — sometimes all within the same chapter. It’s rare to find a story that sweeps you up so completely, but Unstable does exactly that. I laughed, I cried, I grinned like an idiot, and I felt every ache the characters went through.
Enemies-to-Lovers
I’m a big fan of the enemies-to-lovers trope, and this is one of the best examples I’ve ever read. The tension, the frustration, the chemistry — all of it is dialed up and beautifully executed. What makes it so strong is that the emotional shift feels believable and earned. You watch the characters fight, resist, crumble, and then finally grow into something real, vulnerable, and powerful.
Talk Without Spoilers

This is one of those books that is almost impossible to review in detail because so much of its impact comes from experiencing the twists, turns, and emotional punches firsthand. There is so much I’d like to gush about, but almost all of it would spoil the journey — and this is a story that deserves to unfold naturally for readers.
There’s a question that comes up in the bookish world all the time:
“What book do you wish you could forget just so you could experience it for the first time again?”
I usually answer the question the same way, I have no idea. Every book impacts me differently at different times of my life. After rereading this?
The answer will now be Unstable. Every time.
It’s that powerful. That emotional. That unforgettable.
Final Thoughts
Unstable remains one of my absolute favorite romances, and rereading it only reinforced that. It’s intense, heartfelt, beautifully written, and emotionally charged in the best possible ways. Some books hit hard once and fade — this one leaves a mark and stays with you.
Have you read Unstable? Do you want to?
